Domain: Eukaryota Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Arthropoda Class: Insecta Order: Diptera Family: Ceratopogonidae Genus: Bezzia Species: sp. Date: 2018-04-06 Place: 50.098232, 14.516931 (Praha Hrdlorezy - Rokytka) Observer: sumie-dh Biotope: benthos of standing water Bedrock: Loess, Cretaceous sandstone and marl Microscope: Carl Zeiss Jenaval (Rheinberg illumination) Amplification: 32x Description: This one was discovered in algae blob which was taken from shore of standing water inside blind stream branch of artificial meanders . We are not 100% sure with Bezzia genus , whole picture of animal doesn't exist. I was cca 2 cm long larva, it has light brown color. Also, species determination was little bit funny, terminal part of animal catched my eyes faster than head part, so I thinked that I look for head. I burned few hours in crazy googling because of that mistake. We hate you, nature. More on BioOSM map |
